Members of the 6th Form departed today for their annual cultural/educational trip to Madrid. Their packed itinerary centres around the university exhibition AULA (to gather information for university applications).
While they are in the capital, they will explore the Monasterio de las Reales Descalzas, the famous Alcalá de Henares (the house of Cervantes) and the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. They also have tickets for the ‘Microteatro’ and the musical ‘Jovencito Frankenstein’.
Lots of fun activities are packed into the busy schedule including making chocolate (Chocolateria de San GINés), the roller disco (Rolling Dance), Xanadu Centre for indoor skiing and the cable car ride to explore the Egyptian temple. Finally, if they have any energy left, they will visit the Parque de Atracciones for some fun before returning to A Level language orals and the school musical production!
